Testimonies
January 6, 2010
Dear Kathy,
Wanting to send you a true thank you, and give a testimony for your site.
My father passed away December 2008, and with a one year anniversary quickly approaching I wanted to give my father some Christmas cheer. I live in Western Europe, but my father was laid to rest in Missouri. Not knowing where to start, I started calling the local florists in Branson, but found their largest blankets were very small and expensive. I felt very disheartened until I looked up grave blankets on the web, and right away I found Warm Gestures. I read all that Kathy wrote, and it really touched my heart as I could relate. After searching many other sites, I immediately emailed Kathy explaining my predicament being all the way in Europe. I was surprised at how fast she responded to me, and put my worries to rest right away. She would ship the blanket to my mothers and the cost was so much less than using a local florist. As my family was going to gather for this special day, Kathy got right on it. We had to make a few changes to bows and rose colors, but Kathy assured me we would have exactly what we wanted. I flew to the USA, and when I got to Missouri, the blanket was there on time as requested, 2 days before our gathering.
When I opened the box tears fell as i looked at the most beautiful blanket I had ever seen. It was perfect, and better than I had imagined with the size, fullness and beauty, I knew my father would feel warm all winter as I did in my heart at that moment. All the parts were there with the instructions. Kathy did it all! The love and time I know that was put into this blanket really made our experience amazing. When we gathered to lay the blanket, everyone complimented its beauty, and the day I left to return to Europe I stopped by to see that the blanket was still in tact. I finally got my closure when I said goodbye and looked at how warm my father was going to be this winter. I was even more impressed when Kathy did a follow up call to make sure we were satisfied and that we had a nice experience on our special day. I appreciated the care she took in calling.
I have highly recommended Warm Gestures to friends and people I know that purchase grave blankets, and my family will always do the same with Kathy from now on.
Kathy, I really appreciate all the time and efforts you have put into the blanket and our family. You really are special, and wanted to extend a HUGE THANK YOU from my family and myself. Looking forward to ordering a blanket from you each year! Yourê truly the best!

We brought the grave blanket out to Arlington Cemetery yesterday and it looks very lovely! We are very pleased with how it turned out and my family would like to thank you for your thoughtfulness and beautiful work! My father would be pleased that he is all dressed up for the holidays and covered up for the winter months ahead.
Thank you,

My Father passed away in May of 2007. He was in the Marine Corps for 28 years and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Last Christmas, my Mother decided that she wanted to get a grave blanket to put on his grave. She lives in California and ordered one from a florist in Arlington. I live in Virginia and went to the cemetery to deliver a wreath and take pictures of the grave blanket for my Mother. I was very disappointed! It was very small and she had paid a lot of money for it. I told her that I would try to find a nicer one this Christmas.
I spent hours on the internet looking for someplace local but was unsuccessful. I somehow happened on the Warm Gestures website. The grave blankets in the pictures were beautiful and really big! I knew that one of Kathy's blankets was exactly what we wanted....but wasn't sure that she would be able to ship something that big to Virginia! I emailed her and asked her if she could ship it to me and what the cost would be. She replied to my email within minutes! She told me that not only could she ship...and at a reasonable price...but she could have it to me in two days. I called her a few days later to discuss the different choices. I loved the blanket with the giant red roses but didn't see one with a plaid bow. Kathy told me that she didn't have any plaid bows. The next day, she called and told me that she found that she had red and green plaid ribbon and that she had made a bow. The blanket arrived in beautiful shape and was gorgeous! It was the exact size that we wanted. I added some small flags and gold poinsettias.
On Dec. 13, my husband and I drove up to Arlington to place the blanket on my Father's grave. That was the day that 10,000 wreaths were brought from Maine by the Worcester Wreath Company to place on the graves at Arlington. My Mother and brother were there from California to see the wreath laying and to help us with the grave blanket. My Mother was really happy with the blanket! It was just what she wanted and I know that we will be getting one from Kathy every Christmas.
Kathy takes a personal interest in the blankets that she makes. It is obvious after talking to her that she takes pride in each one that she makes. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking of buying a grave blanket for a loved one's gravesite....even if you are not local to her in Michigan! I am very grateful to have found someone as caring and conscientious as Kathy.
Kathy. thanks so much for your help and we will be in touch with you next year!

Hello,
I was surfing the web looking for ideas on grave marker decoration/cleanup and I cannot believe I found your beautiful site! Thank you so much for the work you do ...I reside in Upstate NY and travel 300 miles to visit my family plot which includes (1)Vet gm, & (3) family members - the area around their GM is pretty ugly and am thinking about adding mulch around the areas(the cemetery allows plantings) & perhaps some pachysandra...just a thought. But thank you for your inspirational website!

My dad died this past Dec. and I wanted something special to put on his grave for the winter. My original plans were to have a nice big flower arrangement or wreath made until my mom mentioned a grave blanket. I had no idea what this was so I got on the internet and searched around for a couple of days and felt compelled to keep returning to Kathy's site. After e-mailing Kathy, I received a call from her with-in minutes. I ordered a blanket and received it in 2 days. Nothing could have been so beautiful and wonderful for my dad.
I can't thank you enough for such a beautiful blanket and for your kind, compassionate words that you spoke to me (a total stranger). You are a God sent. God bless you in every area of your life.
Placing the blanket on dad's grave was the beginning of a healing process for me.

Thank you for putting together such a beautiful and natural grave blanket.
We have received many compliments and some were stunned by the fact that the blanket is all natural - except for the ribbons, ornaments, etc.
I will continue to purchase on a yearly basis.
Thanks again,

About 3yrs ago at the age of 54 years I had 4 small strokes so I have bad days every once in awhile. I really love the blanket. I have hunted for so long. I will defiantly be a regular Christmas customer. I could see your heart in that blanket. You must be one of GOD's earth angels. I know my parents are as happy as I am. Thank you so very much for your kindness. Bless you and yours for the Holidays.

I would just like to thank you so much for the beautiful grave blanket that you made for me. It was just perfect. You spent time on the phone helping me to decide how I wanted it decorated and what I could add to it to make it more personal for my father in law. You were very helpful and caring. I was even able to get the blanket the very next day. It is very evident to me that this is a God given gift of yours and I am so glad you are able to share it with others and make a difference for our loved ones too. I have spread the word around and would recommend you to everyone who is need of a grave blanket or any type of greenery or flowers. You do a beautiful job. God bless you and your family.

I received the cemetery blanket I ordered from Kathy yesterday, and was overwhelmed by its size and beauty. I searched the internet looking for a blanket for the winter for my boy Daniel who passed away at age 17. I had ordered one last year from the local cemetery here, and was so disappointed. What a wonderful surprise when I opened the package from Kathy!!!! She shipped it to me in New York, and I received it in 2 days! Kathy, I can tell your heart was in this when you made it. Ironically, you placed a little drum ornament on the blanket, and I used to call my baby, MY LITTLE DRUMMER BOY!!!!
I am so pleased with the beautiful craftsmanship, and the size of the blanket, I know where I will be shopping when the need arises. I have already spread the word here in NY, about what beauty, quality and heartfelt love went into this. Thank you for being so accommodating, and shedding some happiness this sad time of year..
I can't say Thank You enough. ]

On 10-30-05, my 5 yr old daughter died in a car wreck.
"As I was making this little girls as I had made my little girls every year, my heart was in it. It was made with a big pink bow, and pink roses to match". Then I suggested to the Mom to put any ornaments pertaining to her daughter on it, personalize it. Like on my little girls, I put teddy bears, horses, gingerbread men, santa claus, angels and the list goes on and on. On Christmas you can put on an ornament, since the grave blanket is out all winter, Valentines Day, you can put on another ornament, what ever fits your needs.
Warm Gestures is here to help you. Grave Blankets must be put down before the ground freezes as they need to be anchored down.

Prior to Warm Gestures, I had seen Kathy's Grave Blankets.
I immediately wanted one made for my mother. I'm very particular and wanted something attractive and with color for her grave. That was 15 YEARS AGO. I've had one made every year since. These are just beautiful. I keep my mothers on all winter. I would highly recommend Warm Gestures to anyone for their Loved One. I've been more than satisfied, not just with the beautiful grave blanket, but the cost too. I've shopped around over my years and Warm Gestures prices are reasonable!

Kathy is my sister-in law.
When my brother's wife passed away last October 2006, she made a beautiful grave blanket with red roses on it. It was so nice of her to think of my brother. Kathy also delivered and put the grave blanket down. He was really at a loss at what to do and that Kathy was very helpful to him. I would recommend her work to anyone.

Last year I bought a grave blanket for my daughter to put on her fathers grave. We have had a hard time finding things that look appropriate for winter and nothing seems to last until spring. Kathy showed me the grave blanket, I had never seen anything like it before and thought it was a wonderful idea. The price was very reasonable and the blanket lasted all winter. It looked very nice for Christmas and my daughter was able to add Christmas decorations to it. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and plan to buy another one this year. Very creative idea. Thank you Kathy!
